…and Relax: How to Have the Best Bath Ever


With final exams and freshman year of college quickly approaching, it’s safe to say that I am stressed. Whether or not you are in the same boat as me, I am sure you have a list of things that are stressing you out too. In these times of craziness, it’s important to take some time to relax and forget about everything, even if it’s just for an hour or two. My favorite way to “escape” is by taking a nice, soothing bath. With that said, today I am sharing with you my tips and essentials for having the best bath ever!



Freshen the Face

My favorite way to start off a bath is to put a little something on my skin. A face mask, mist, moisturizer, anything will do. Personally, I enjoy using the Mario Badescu Rose Water Facial Mist.  Not only is it super inexpensive, it also smells so feminine and gives the skin a nice refresh. It definitely makes me feel like a princess with the rose scent, and when treating yourself to a bath, I think it’s essential.



Pamper Your Pout

Because spring has just recently sprung, my lips are still very dry and chapped from winter. Whether it’s a lip balm or scrub, moisturizing the lips is extremely important. One of my favorite products to use for this is the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub. I love that once you put it on, you can lick it right off! It tastes so yummy!


Now that the face and lips are moisturized, it’s time to start the bath!


Bonus points if you have a cute kitty to join you! Hehe!



Splish Splash! A Sweet Smelling Bath!

Okay, now would be the perfect time to add in some bubble bath. Any will do. After, I love to add in a little bit of bath salts. My favorite are the Pink Sugar ones by Basin. They are pink, sugary, and soothing! You can’t get much better than that!



A Snack and A Show

Once the tub is full, I love to escape by putting on a show and eating a little something. For a show, one of my favorites is “I Love Lucy.” I grew up on it so it has a special place in my heart. Also, it’s lighthearted and funny, which is great when trying to relax. Some of my other favorite things to watch are pretty much any Disney or Audrey Hepburn movie and Gossip Girl. For a snack, I like to go for something fresh and healthy, like grapes. But when I really want to treat myself, a little bit of chocolate will do.



As I watch my show, I love to put on a scrub. My favorite is Soap and Glory’s Scrub of Your Life because it makes my body feel silky smooth and it smells so good! Perfect for a pamper!


Lather Up!

After a good scrub, I like to cleanse with a body wash. I love lathering Soap and Glory’s Clean on Me Shower Gel into my loofah because of the lovely fragrance and the soft feel it leaves on the skin, due to the built-in lotion it has.


Illuminate the Skin

Once I finish my bath, I like to moisturize the skin even more with a lotion. My all-time favorite is the Bath and Body Works Rose Cosmic Cream. Unfortunately, it’s not being sold anymore but I’m really hoping they bring it back because it is absolutely amazing! It has aloe-vera in it, which makes the skin feel so soft and has an incredible cooling effect. It also has a shimmer to it, which makes my body sparkle and shine.


Pajama Party Time!

Finally, I love to end my best bath ever by jumping into a cozy pair of PJ’s! I’m actually wearing these exact ones right now, as I’m writing this, hehe!
